We are touching base with our clients to let you know that the Tax Office will not issue paper copies of BAS & IAS Statements for the December 2020 and March 2021 quarters.
If you have received an email recently from the Tax Office please do not ignore it as it will most likely have something to do with receiving your IAS & BAS digitally.
To access the forms digitally, individuals will require a myGov account and/or link to the ATO Business Portal via a myGov account if the statement is for an entity rather than an individual.
It was the intention of the Tax Office to provide all activity statements digitally from December 2020 onwards. Due to tax professional complaints, the ATO have backflipped and reinstated paper statements from the June 2021 quarter.
If you have a myGov account already set up, your activity statement can be accessed on the ATO link, if you do not have a myGov account or do not wish to set one up, C & H can lodge this document on your behalf. Please note, there will be a charge for this service.
Please contact C & H Accounting Group if you believe you should have received a PAYG or GST instalment activity statement for December and have not seen it yet.
